Our History.
What began in 1892 as a precision mechanics workshop for Morse and telegraph equipment in Vienna, today is a globally operating technology company and a leading provider of mobility solutions and communication services. The only constant in the always family-run business is change: Since its founding, Kapsch has been committed to its role as an innovator and technology pioneer, who quickly recognizes trends and responds with market-oriented solutions. From the production of the first portable transistor radio and the involvement in the digitalization of the Austrian telephone system to the construction of pioneering tolling systems around the globe – in regard to many technical milestones Kapsch has always been a decisive step ahead.
